    Exam Eligibilty

    • B.E. / B.Tech (4 years course after 10+2) Final Year Students may also apply
    • B.E. / B.Tech (3 years course after B.Sc./ Diploma in Engineering)
    • B.Arch – (5 years course) / Naval Architecture (4 years course) / Planning (4 years course)
    • Professional Society Examinations (equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech / B.Arch) recognized by MHRD/ UPSC/ AICTE

    • Computer Based Tests – Exam will be online with timeline of 3 hours(180 Minutes)

    Exam Centres

    • Exam centers will be in selected cities and towns across different States & Union Territories of India

    Is there any age limitation?

    No, Engineerins at any age can apply for this exam.

    How to pay the examination fees for iPATE?

    When can Admit Card be downloaded?

    You can download your Admit Card June 15, 2020 onwards

    When and how will a candidate know the status of his/her application?

    Candidates will receive the acknowledge email with all details. They may check their inbox, time to time.

    Whether experienced candidates can appear in iPATE?

    YES, experienced candidates may also appear in iPATE Exam. There is no bar of experience. They need to select Disciplines as per their Education / Experience.

    If a candidate decides not to appear for the Exam after filling the Registration form, will he/she be allowed to sit for the next/ any subsequent examination?

    NO. He/she has to register again, and has to pay the examination fee again.

    Is iPATE same as GATE? Difference between iPATE and GATE.

    GATE focuses on assessing the academic knowledge of the candidate to help them explore both higher studies and PSU jobs in India.

    iPATE on the other hand focuses on assessing the technical knowledge of the candidate and opening job vistas in job private and PSUs in India. .

    Is there any limitation on attempts to iPATE Exam?

    NO, there is no limitation on the iPATE Exam attempt. A candidate can appear for the iPATE Exam every year.

    Is iPATE exam is compulsory for engineering students for getting job?

    No, iPATE exam is not compulsory but candidate may appear for visibility to industries for getting better job

    Validity of iPATE score card ?

    IPATE score card is valid for 3 year

    Is there any age limitation for giving iPATE exam?

    No, there is no age limitation

    Is there any placement assistance provided after qualifying iPATE?

    No they don’t, iPATE exam is conduct by CII on behalf of Indian industries to recruit Technical talent. Database of qualified Candidates will be shared with Indian industries to recruit based upon Grades, Scores and Ranking.

    Which companies will recruit through iPATE?

    Private sector companies including MNCs & SMEs on PAN India basis, to facilitate the list of qualified candidates, to hire as per companies need.

    Is there any reservation or quota for iPATE?

    No there is no reservation or quota

    May I use physical calculator during iPATE online examination?

    NO. During iPATE online examination, all candidates will be provided with a virtual scientific calculator which has to be used to answer the questions.
